Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the construction industry, located in Arlington, Texas, United States. The role is for a Sr. Internal Auditor who will play a vital role in maintaining our financial health and operations. You will be involved in conducting audits, implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to laws and regulations and to find any potential mismanagement.

• Implement policies and procedures within the organization to ensure operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other relevant financial regulations.

• Review financial statements and assess the risk level of organizational operations.

• Utilize J.D. Edwards system for efficient audit operations.

• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.

• Manage and lead the organization's internal audit processes.

• Occasionally travel for audit purposes, with all travel scheduled in advance.

• Work with various teams to rectify financial discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and industry trends.

Requirements

• Applicant must hold a recognized certification as an Internal Auditor (US) or Public Accountant - CPA (US)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required

• Demonstrated knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley is essential

• Proficiency in formulating and implementing policies and procedures is necessary

• Experience in financial auditing is a must

• Familiarity with J.D. Edwards software is required

• Prior experience in the construction/contractor industry is a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Willingness to continue professional development and stay updated with industry trends and regulations.
