Executive Business Partner and Team Administrator

We're looking for a mission-driven Executive Business Partner and Team Administrator who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB

  • Provide Executive Assistant support to the Executive Director, CNIB AB & NWT which includes but is not limited to expenses, schedule management, report and presentation preparation, minute taking, and ad hoc duties as required.

  • Maintain a high level of organization, record keeping, and general office skills.

  • Coordinate expense reports and approvals for direct reports to Executive Director, code expenses, as required by internal policies.

  • Responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness by coordinating regional and national and operational activities.

  • Ability to provide solutions to routine questions and complicated problems using creative and timely problem-solving skills.

  • Exercise judgment and tact when dealing with individuals and knowing when to elevate issues to the next level.

  • Commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality as determined by CNIB policies.

  • Schedule appointments and meetings, coordinate travel arrangements and book appropriate facilities for departmental meetings, committee meetings and senior division staff.

  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate national and divisional initiatives and projects.

  • Serve as a point of contact for escalations and issues that arise affecting team members, participants, and volunteers.

Who you are:

Education and Certifications

  • Administrative Assistant Certificate or equivalency.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior administrative role.

  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in an organized manner.

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Advance minute-taking skills and good knowledge of meeting protocols.

  • Excellent word processing and Microsoft Office Suite skills.

  • Excellent computer proficiency.

  • Demonstrate mature and sensitive nature when dealing with people who are blind or partially sighted.

  • Experience working with Boards and leadership volunteers.

  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.

  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

Work Environment

  • Work to be done at the CNIB AB Calgary office.

  • Willingness to work some flexible hours.

  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
