Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist in Chandler, Arizona. The primary function of this role will be to ensure the accurate and timely application of incoming payments to customer accounts. This position is a crucial part of our finance department, interacting with multiple departments to ensure the accuracy of financial records and resolve any discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts in a timely manner

• Process and reconcile payments received through various channels including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card transactions

• Maintain detailed records of all transactions and adjustments

• Work collaboratively with the accounts receivable team to identify and address payment issues

• Respond to inquiries from customers regarding their payment status

• Utilize tools such as Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, NetSuite, Cash Applications, Remote Deposit, and Lock Box to organize and analyze payment data

• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash application activities

• Generate reports and provide analysis related to cash application activities

• Process preliminary and unconditional waivers related to payment transactions

• Actively participate in the resolution of any discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of our financial records. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in the use of Pivot Table and VLOOKUP

• Previous experience in Cash Applications is essential

• Familiarity with Remote Deposit and Lock Box operations is required

• Experience with NetSuite software is desirable

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
