Job Summary

Supervisor – Toxicology

As a Supervisor for our Toxicology group at the Sherbrooke (QC) location, you will be supervising a team in order to mobilize, empower and develop employees.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensure employee and department performance management.

  • Give employees feedback in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with the various company divisions to optimize operations.

  • Guide, train, coach, support and maintain a collaborative team and a continuous improvement approach.

  • Ensure and promote positive and effective working relationships with the management team, human resources and key collaborators.

  • Regularly communicate expectations regarding quality, performance, goals, animal welfare, and health and safety.

  • Review and respect budgets for assigned sectors.

  • Manage various operational challenges.

  • Apply the principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Good listener and strategic vision

  • Bilingualism French and English is required.

  • Collegial diploma is science or any related field in management.

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

Role Specific Information :

  • Location: easily accessible using Sherbrooke’s public transit system. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station.

  • Pay: Salary based on experience

  • Schedule: Full time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week)

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
