Chart Industries Production Controller in Glasgow, United Kingdom

Exciting Opportunity for a Production Controller, based in Renfrew, Scotland.

As a Production Controller, you will schedule activities both internal and external (sub-contract) associated with the manufacturing of compressors from receipt of orders to despatch, to provide on-time delivery of material to customers, both internal and external.

What Needs To Be Done?

  • Scheduling internal and external activities to ensure on-time delivery of material to customers, both internal and external while following guidelines and standards

  • Deliver excellence through “Right First Time” practices.

  • Issue and control of documentation to all internal and external orders to comply with Quality Management System ISO 9001

  • Control of new part introduction and Engineering changes to comply with Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008

  • Maintain audit and specification requirements by adhering to Works Standard Instruction guidelines and standard work procedures.

  • Support Lean principles by optimising efficiencies through reduction of costs & improvement of quality and delivery.

  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with Company Environmental Health & Safety Procedures.

  • Support supply chain integrity by ensuring inventory and WIP accuracy.

What Do You Need To Bring?

Essential skills, kno wledge & behaviours

  • Computer literate – MRP/Manufacturing/Inventory control

  • Production Control experience in an engineering environment

  • Microsoft excel/word/projects experience

Desirable skills, knowledge & behaviours

  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience

  • Lean manufacturing skills

  • Flexibility

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work unsupervised and meet delivery deadlines

  • EH&S awareness
