The Siemens Manufacturing site in Grand Prairie, Texas has an immediate opening for an Environmental, Health, Safety Professional with training experience. The successful candidate will support a wide range of EHS responsibilities, including but not limited to those noted below.

You will make an impact by:

  • Inspect and audit areas of manufacturing plant, truck yard, customer sites and warehouse.

  • Establish and maintain accurate recordkeeping of inspections, procedures, and JHA’s.

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly testing, inspections, and reporting for various EHS tasks.

  • Establish a plan of action to promote employee involvement in accident prevention activities.

  • Maintain a commitment-based safety culture; develop and analyze leading indicators for the prevention of accidents and create/execute a continuous improvement plan.

  • Conduct specific EHS training for employees as needed (New hire training, OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)

  • Establish, chart and trend statistical and performance-based measures that reflect safety and environmental accomplishments and deficiencies.

  • Lead accident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure data is recorded in company’s safety management system.

  • Maintain a system for reporting, monitoring, and correcting serious safety problems.

  • Assist in reviewing, updating, and implementing EHS programs for the site.

  • Work with security contractors; ensure their scope of work provides adequate protection of the property, building and workforce.

  • Lead 5S program, meetings, and training.

  • Collaborate with local human resources in the administration of Workers Compensation.

  • Communicate and partner effectively with external medical providers, consultants, vendors, and contractors.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • 2-3 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 2-3 years training experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills that enable efficient project and task management.

  • Must be a self-starter and excellent relationship builder.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001

  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and local regulations and reporting

  • Working knowledge of and experience with learning management systems

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Proficient computer skills including Outlook and MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

  • The pay range for this position is $71,190 - $122,040. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
