Eaton Corporation Manager Engineering - TCP in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership for Torque Control products for growth while working in area of New Technology Introduction (NTI), Cost out (VA) and Sustaining Engineering (SE). This includes working on Advance Technology projects, create new technical proposals & drive cost out efforts for ePowertrain business. Incumbent is expected to partner with Business Unit Director, Product Strategy, Chief Engineers & New Product Introduction teams to achieve division’s strategic objectives for growth projects. Candidate must provide technical guidance, work supervision and effective coaching to develop team members. The incumbent is also expected to ensure talent up skilling and reskilling to future growth areas of ePowertrain. He / She needs to meaningfully engage team towards meeting organizational objectives along with ensuring proper and timely communication flow down. Incumbent should establish positive working relations with direct team, peer group, stakeholders and support functions to facilitate open dialogue and trust building across the organization.

"1. Work with Engineering Directors & Business Unit Directors to drive growth objectives of advance technology projects & cost out

  1. Support overall global strategy for processes and capabilities to deliver quality products & services on-time in line with the business objectives

  2. Work as a co-lead for Advance Technology group in collaboration with global Chief Engineer & drive innovative ideas maturity for xRL advancements, Conduct solution blitz events to come up with new ideas aligned to product roadmaps.

  3. Ensure talent development and transition strategies for upskilling and reskilling of talent to New spaces

  4. Participate in external conference, relevant consortium, professional bodies to understand market insights, regulatory trends in growing EV segments and its application for growth of Eaton 6

Qualifications:

Bachelor / Masters in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, with demonstrated experience in technical engineering organization.

810 years of experience with relevant engineering organization

• Proven experience in New product introduction for ICE & EV applications & cost out

• Experience in Design of Six Sigma and Design for Reliability

• Exposure to Design for Environment, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly

• Demonstrated experience in handling Powertrain customer & applications

• Demonstrated experience in managing & developing org / tech leads

• Working experience with cross functional and global team such as Sales & Marketing, Product Strategy, SCM, Manufacturing, Product Engg. & Program Management

Skills:

• Ability to prepare & execute strategy for business growthz

• Expertise in Torque Differential Powertrain product development & manufacturing

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

. Provide leadership for global cost out efforts by leading cost out projects, drive ideation events to enrich project pipeline

  1. Promote and maintains a professional work environment, drive analysis first culture and DfX deployment for flawless execution. Maintain effective communication both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments.

  2. Manages and develops people: identify, attract and develop key engineering talent(s) for the organization

  3. Initiate & implement process improvements to support the Eaton Business System, Tech Roadmaps, Product Roadmaps, DFSS, DMAIC
