Business Analyst, Operations– Quezon City, Philippines

The Business Analyst contributes to the effectiveness of operations by combining their expertise on procedures and concepts of their own operational responsibilities with an understanding of how those responsibilities integrate with the broader goals of the business unit and company.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders from multiple business units to gather, analyze, clarify, and document business requirements and translate them to system requirements.

  • Contribute to improvement of business processes by gaining a deep understanding of the current state and identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

  • Build strong working relationships with teams across the globe and cross functional business partners to ensure alignment on requirements, project scope and timelines.

  • Provide end user support to facilitate adoption of new features and documents and resolve reported issues where applicable.

  • Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance metrics from multiple data sources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering well-documented data requirements, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and working with relational database concepts, including writing moderately complex queries for ad hoc analysis (>3 years).

  • Minimum 2 years in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related laws and regulations is preferred.

  • Project management experience/knowledge with ability to drive projects to successful completion preferred.

  • General understanding of SDLC and agile frameworks required.

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally & in writing, with all levels of management.

  • Knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, SQL, Business Objects, Visual Basic, and Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with visual analytic software such as Tableau.

  • Experience in using collaborative project management tools like JIRA preferred.
