Join our dynamic Technology, Digital and Data division as a Senior Project Manager and seize this exciting opportunity to lead impactful projects.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the dynamic Strategy & Portfolio Management Team that supports the delivery of technology and digital initiatives across News Corp Australia.
You will lead the delivery of our critical initiatives within our Commercial and Consumer Technology practice! You'll be at the helm, planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and aligned with our business priorities. Throughout each project's journey, you'll oversee progress, guide project teams, and tackle challenges head-on. Be part of our dynamic team, driving impactful projects and making a real difference!
Key Responsibilities
Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Planning and managing scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget and timing of initiatives
Ensure delivery partners are across business drivers to manage the work within the program timeframes and budget
Enable visibility of project performance to senior stakeholders and the Portfolio Management Team
Identify and escalate risks and issues at the appropriate forums and devise mitigation/treatment strategies
Managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, at all levels
Manage proposed changes to scope, schedule or budget and ensure change requests are assessed and approved at the appropriate level
Manage vendor agreements/contracts to ensure services agreed and delivered represent value for money
Manage platform and financial resources effectively to ensure optimal return on investment and efficiency in meeting business outcomes
Ensuring projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in the business case
Managing vendor relationships
Providing leadership and direction of technical teams (including solution architects, developers and testers)
Who are you?
Track record of successfully delivering digital/technology projects within a complex environment covering scope, scheduling and budget control
Experience in running projects with different technology platforms/systems. Eg. Salesforce
Experience leading and directing technical teams including business analysts, engineers, developers, solution architects, and testers
Experience engaging and influencing senior management and other groups of stakeholders, with the ability to inspire multidisciplinary teams and drive action
Thorough understanding of technology concepts and project management principles
Strong verbal and written communication skills and you use tools to discover and communicate key insights into meaningful and visual reports.
Ability to build strong and positive relationships across teams and with stakeholders at all levels; and you are a strong influencer who drives action.
