About the Role:

As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be in charge of creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs.

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide technical expertise on the oversight and implementation of CBRE & Client programs and policies.

  • Review HSE local and national regulations for the update or development of new programs and policies.

  • Work with CBRE and Client HSE Integrated Management Systems to ensure programs are active and track their performance.

  • Provide technical expertise in HSE topics to help develop a Quality Assurance and Quality control program around HSE program execution.

  • Interface with other HSE staff for alignment and awareness of policy and programs.

  • Ensure full operational compliance of CBRE & Client programs and policies.

  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders, and to ensure compliance.

  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety, and

  • Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.

  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.

  • Track operational and safety risks. Develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.

  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports. Provide recommendations on how to prevent risk.

  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account. Work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required.

  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.5-7 years experience preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Knowledge and experience with OSHA, NEBOSH & NIOSH Standards.

  • OSHA certified. Additional certifications as required by the local authority.

  • Extensive knowledge on USA and Canada HSE norms and standards.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Executive Presence.

  • Knowledge and experience with HSE integrated management systems and software (e.g. Gensuite)

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, etc.)

  • Proficient in English (professional level written and spoken)
