Robert Half Inventory Clerk in Saline, Michigan

Description Roberti Half is seeking an Inventory Clerk/Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a well-known company in Saline, MI. This position includes receiving material and entering receipts into the computer, picking orders from stock, stocking incoming material, checking inventory in stock, packaging product and shipping material.

Additional responsibilities may include rearranging warehouse when required, coordinating movement of product with returns coordinator, participating in physical inventory counts and adjusting bin locations.

Job Functions:

  • Assist with receiving and unloading freight both manually and with forklifts/pallet jacks.

  • Checks packages for damage.

  • Verifies quantity, accuracy and quality of received orders/material.

  • Processes receipt in computer per designated process.

  • Accurately matches incoming product and inventory to customer orders.

  • Prepares customer orders for shipment ensuring material is packaged adequately.

  • Diligently follows all warehouse processes/procedures including all safety requirements.

  • Accurate and efficient completion of cycle counts with issue resolution.

  • Resolution of non-conforming issues with buyer involvement where necessary.

  • Review and maintenance of warehouse related reporting.

  • Communication with PSMI team to meet expedited shipment requirements.

  • Ensures shipping/receiving area is clean and organized.

• Skilled in numeric Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Shipping & Receiving processes

• Knowledge of standard inventory management practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced service industry environment

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to lift and move heavy items when necessary

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
