INCENTIVES ANALYST

The Governor s Office of Economic Opportunity is currently seeking a skilled Incentives Analyst to assist the Business Recruitment and Expansion Team to administer and manage the State s Economic Development Tax Increment Financing (EDTIF) tax credit program. A successful candidate will be able to source,analyze,prepare and process required information about specific business under review for this tax credit program. Come help businesses and decision makers have the best information to support the relocation and expansion in the State of Utah.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with assigned members of the Business Recruitment and Expansion team to assist with the purpose,benefits,and requirements of the EDTIF program to company representatives interested in relocating and expanding in Utah
• Facilitate the process for an approved businesses to apply for the incentive
• Create and maintain positive communication and relationship to assist the company through the duration of the application,review and approval process
• Assist members from the Business Recruitment and Expansion team by performing financial analysis and comprehensive due diligence on businesses that have a completed application
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Maintain project records in salesforce including project updates,contacts,and other relevant information,specifically:

Input documents and records into salesforce,including:

• Sending out applications to companies
• Inputting new leads,opportunities,contacts,and accounts
• Inputting and updating company data
• Processing and memorizing information for contract creation

Prepare and send Incentive Committee and GOEO board meeting materials,including:

• Maintain meeting memos and folios
• Creating powerpoint presentations
• Prepare reports such as quarterly Incentives updates
• Creating comparable spreadsheet
• Prepping Recommen dation Letters
• Creating meeting agendas

Other Responsibilities:

• Prepping the conference room for EDTIF meetings
• Monitor incentive committee and board meetings to ensure smooth operation
• Provide ad hoc data analysis and reports to internal and external inquiries
• Annual and periodic reporting

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting,Economics,Statistics,Data Science or Computer Science
• Working knowledge of understanding and managing data,financial information or similar role
• Strong understanding of economic concepts and principles
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic and analytical mindset
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills,able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Experience working in government or public sector environments is a plus
• Practical knowledge working with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Salesforce is highly desirable
