The Vice President of Asia Pacific Zone is based in Singapore, reports directly to the President / Chief Executive Officer, and is an integral part of the company’s management team with collective responsibility of meeting customers’ and shareholders’ obligations.

The incumbent will manage an organization of approximately 500hc with 11 direct reports including Direct and Indirect Sales, Presales, Customer Care, Service Delivery, and Training and Marketing.

You will lead and manage commercial activities in Asia Pacific, including China and India, to achieve its short and long term financial and operational objectives as set by the Group (turnover, product mix, key account, aftermarket, SG&A). You will also have the responsibilities of ensuring that the company strategies and all the field activities are properly managed in efficiency, expertise, performance, behavior, and respect of the corporate rules, processes, and values, to attain the expected results.

The role is accountable for:

  • Ensure that the Group strategies, processes, and standards are properly implemented in the region. Apply company policy by establishing management and operational plans for the region. Implement all actions defined by the Group to support efficiently the implementation of Company Plans.

  • Regional P&L Management. Drive sales and services revenue through a direct and indirect sales team. Coordinate the preparation of the region budget and proposals (investment, equipment, resources). Control and monitor the performance of the region against standards set by the Group. Provide accurate forecast on-time and alert the Group in case of gaps vs forecast. Drive corrective action plans in alignment with Global functions. Manage properly local working capital, local stock level and DSO. Prepare budget and proposals for investment, equipment, resources to support business plan.

  • Assess business opportunities, competitors, and market requirements to develop short, mid, and long-terms strategy. Increase market share, including strategic business plan, organization reviews and transformation initiatives, ensuring business continuity and sustainability.

  • Motivate, manage, coach, and develop the team according to best managerial practices and Dover Values. Promote a culture of empowerment, personal integrity, and accountability. Develop outstanding people and strong relationships with other functions in Markem-Imaje and Dover, while building a solid organization that is recognized for its business acumen and leadership across Markem-Imaje.

  • Build peer support and strong internal company relationships with all key management functions to establish a collaborative environment.

  • Ensure Social, Environment and Safety rules implementation. Guarantee internal consistency and compliance of the practice’s vs the law & regulations. Make sure local and company obligations are properly fulfilled.

  • Actively engage with the Global R&D teams to ensure a product roadmap that meets the needs of Asia Pacific customers.

    Experience & Desired Skills:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ proven experience in commercial leadership roles in Asia Pacific, in a Manufacturing industry or similar environment, within global matrix organization, and with diversified portfolio of products, services, and solutions.

  • Proven track record of managing commercial operations in a variety of Asia Pacific countries.

  • Proven experience in leadership of a diverse international and distributed workforce.

  • Direct accountability for key elements of the corporate P&L.

  • Experience and ability to anticipate future market needs and trends, develop strategies to address business needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good relationships at all levels of the organization, with facility to be hands-on in deploying and driving business transformation and organizational changes.

  • Excellent communication skills across different cultural environments.

  • Fluent in English

  • Availability for international and regional travels upon business requirements.
